Ancient Wonders of Turkey
18 Days
Western Turkey Tour has veritable open air museum, littered with the ruins of Hellenistic and Roman cities, Byzantine churches and Ottoman Turkish palaces, mosques, hammams and bazaars. This fascinating tour takes you across the central Anatolian plains, via the ancient city of Angora (modern Ankara, Turkey’s capital), to Cappadocia, famed for its unique volcanic landscape and ancient, rock-cut churches. From here it’s southwest to the blue waters of the Mediterranean at Antalya and Myra, then north along the beautiful Aegean coast to Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient settlements of the world. Last but not least comes the legendary city of Troy and the WWI battlefields of Gallipoli.

What Our Guests Say About Turkey
The history, people, food, scenery, the diversity of fabulous Western Turkey Tour!
Sights, sounds and smells of Istanbul, the utter peacefulness of ballooning at dawn at Cappadocia, swimming in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea, walking in the footsteps of St Paul in Ephesus, and the sadness of Gallipolli.Maxine Fricker
Loved the knowledge of the guide and range of experiences.
Our guide was so knowledgeable – not only information about the sites visited, but where to eat, where to shop, and planning to avoid possible crowds. She was the best guide we have ever had. Outstanding! The competence of our bus driver was amazing, as we travelled the 3000 km around Turkey. So many highlights – the boat trip at Kas, the hotel at Kusadasi, Gallipoli, all of Istanbul, the excellent museum at Ankara and the meal with the family in the Cappadocia region.Robyn Giles
